Refined in India, bound for West: Russian-crude fuel exports to Europe rise 43%
Indian refineries exported Russian crude oil products to Western markets, generating significant revenue in September. The European Union, Australia, the US, and New Zealand imported these refined products, despite existing sanctions. Reliance Industries’ Jamnagar refinery was particularly active in these exports, sending significant cargoes to the EU and the US. However, India’s own imports of Russian crude oil decreased by 13% during the same period.
